Justyna Proszek is a PhD student at the Cracow University of Technology in the field of Chemical Engineering. She is a graduate with honors from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology with a specialization in Biotechnology.
She was significantly involved in FutureLab Student Research Projects and was focused on the use of lead perovskites as innovative luminescent materials. Research results have been presented at numerous national and international conferences. The conference presentations got 1st place at the Faculty Session of Scientific Circles at the Cracow University of Technology, 6th place at the University Session of Scientific Circles, and a Distinction from the Brand Ambassador of Grupa Azoty. Justyna Proszek was three times recognized as the Rector’s Scholarship holder for the best students at the Cracow University of Technology.
She is a co-author of several scientific publications and is actively involved in three projects funded by the National Science Centre. Multiple scientific internships have been completed, including positions at the Oil and Gas Institute – National Research Institute, the Experimental Medicine Center of the Medical University of Lublin, and twice at the University of Agriculture in Krakow.
The doctoral investigation entitled “Zn(Te, S) Nanoparticles – Preparation, Characterization, and Application” is conducted as a part of the OPUS 22 + LAP/Weave project (grant no. UMO–2021/43/I/ST5/01536) funded by the National Science Centre under the scientific supervision of Prof. Katarzyna Matras-Postołek. The research focuses on Zn(Te, S) nanoparticles, their synthesis and properties to develop novel materials for optoelectronic devices and complex systems for photocatalytic processes, e.g. CO2 reduction.
