is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology, with a specialization in Polymer Technology. In 2015 he defended with distinction his master’s thesis “Organic-inorganic hybrid zinc sulphide (ZnS) nanomaterials for optoelectronics”. It was carried out within the project “Novel ZnS(Se) hybrid polymer nanocomposites for optoelectronic applications” (contract number Homing Plus/2012-6/5), funded by the Foundation for Polish Science within the 6th edition of the Homing Plus program. In the same year, he started his doctoral studies at the Faculty of Technology and Chemical Engineering of the Cracow University of Technology. He continued the research on using of functional nanomaterials in photovoltaics in the frame of the LIDER project (contract number LIDER/009/185/L-5/13/NCBR/2014) funded by NCBiR.
Adam Żaba was very active in the popularization of science and chemistry, and for several years was the head of the Scientific Circle of Chemists of the Physical Chemistry Section and represented the Cracow University of Technology at numerous cultural and scientific events. In addition, he is a long-standing organizer of the Małopolska Night of Scientists, the Science Festival and events for children. In 2022 he defended his PhD thesis titled “Synthesis, characterization and application of zinc sulphide (ZnS) nanocrystals and CZTS for hybrid photovoltaics” at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology. The thesis supervisor was Prof. Katarzyna Matras-Postołek.
Currently he works as a specialist chemist at a INTERMAG Company.
