Ph.D. Xiao Zhang

Xiao Zhang obtained her Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto (Canada) and a Master of Philosophy degree from the University of New South Wales (Australia). She was awarded with Doctor of Philosophy by Curtin University (Australia). Her research interests cover carbon-based materials, carbon dioxide conversion, water splitting, photo-/electro-chemical catalysis, and photoluminescent materials. Xiao Zhang is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and in 2023 she was named in the Stanford-Elsevier World’s Top 2% top-cited researchers list. In 2022 Xiao Zhang started the Polonez Bis project (co-funded by the National Science Centre and the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement) and joined Prof. Katarzyna Matras-Postolek’s group as an assistant professor.
