Cracow University of Technology is one of the top technical universities in Poland. Currently, the university educates almost 12,000 full-time and extramural students at bachelor and master degrees, as well as doctoral and post-graduate studies. CUT offers 30 majors at 8 faculties.
The main mission of CUT is the education of highly-qualified engineers who are able to cope with demands of the national and global economy and who are ready to serve the economy and the whole society through solving technical and technological problems, and implementing the highest-quality results of scientific research into economical practices.

Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology
The faculty was founded as the Faculty of Chemistry in 1966. It was established due to the raising demand for highly-qualified engineers for rapidly developing chemical industry in southern Poland. In 1990, the faculty was renamed as the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology to emphasise the education of students and conducting research in the field of chemical engineering and technology. Currently, the students of the Faculty may enrol three different programmes: Chemical Technology, Chemical and Process Engineering and Biotechnology. The Faculty can award doctorate degrees within the field of technical sciences in the chemical engineering disciplines.
