Ph.D. Eng. Joanna Żelazny

is a graduate of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at the Cracow University of Technology. From 2000 to 2010, she worked as an assistant professor at the Material Science Development Foundation in Krakow. During her work at the Foundation, she was responsible for the organization of many conferences and seminars on renewable energy. Dr Joanna Żelazny participated in the implementation of several FP5 projects, including ‘Structure and Properties of Advanced Materials for Environmental Applications’, ‘Renewable Energy in the Visegrad Group Countries’. As an expert, she also participated in the OPIE projects ‘Zero-emission energy management under conditions of sustainable development of Poland until 2050’ and ‘Development of an eco-efficiency assessment model for sustainable development technologies’, implemented by the Central Mining Institute in Katowice. 

In 2010, she commenced work at the Cracow University of Technology as a specialist in the implementation of projects co-financed, among other things, by the European Union under the European Social Fund, including as an assistant to the Manager of the project entitled ‘Technical University of the 21st Century – a project of the European Social Fund’. ‘Politechnika XXI wieku – program rozwojowy Politechnika Krakowskiej najwyższej jakości dydaktyka dla przyszłych polskich inżynierów’.

She is currently involved in the implementation of different projects including the Erasmus+ program and Strategic Partnerships – Higher Education. She provides administrative and financial support for research projects financed by NCN, NAWA and NCBR in Poland.
